RescueOS
With BudgetDedicated RescueOS you have unprecedented access to your system. Even in the worst cases, such having a system in an unbootable state there is an easy and efficient way to recover from it: Through the BudgetDedicated RescueOS.
Besides recovery, it is also an excellent environment for bootstrapping a new installation.
RescueOS works as follows:
- Your system is in an unbootable or in a compromised state, or you don't want it to start up every service before doing some maintenance.
- You shut down your server. You can attempt a graceful restart and resort to a power-off only if needed.
- Then, you can select the 'RescueOS'
to boot in.
- Login as 'root' and a password is not needed. You can configure a password later to be able to access it remotely.
- The RescueOS will explain on-screen what it does and sets up all you need to work effectively:
- Security: system is in quarantine by default. You can only reach it from your user IP and the console itself.
- Connectivity: RescueOS is given connectivity to the outside to install extra rescue tools or access remote backups.
- Transparency: The RescueOS provides insight into available partitions and the filesystems (if any) that are on them. It explains what it does by itself and hands over control to you, whenever you want.
- Your instance of the RescueOS is private, it is refreshed before every start up.
